Eng. Mohammad Daud Rashiq is the founder of MEHRO and the Executive Director of the organization with over 20 years of experience in business. He is responsible for the overall management of the country and field offices. Mr. Rashiq provides leadership and direction to senior staff and is involved in the recruitment of the senior management and international staff. Furthermore, he negotiates and signs new projects with the donors and liaises with donors, UN, INGO and the government of Afghanistan. He supervises the managers and directors in MEHRO’s field offices. Mr. Rashiq has already developed good relations with high ranking governmental officials on both central and local level which is one his traits.
Dr. Mirwais Saafi joined MEHRO at the position of Deputy Director/CEO in 2013. He is a holder of the MD degree in Medicine from Kabul Medical University, diploma in Business Administration from the American University of Afghanistan and certificate in extensive pre-service public health and management from the Afghan Public Health Institute. Previously he worked at Cheragh Medical Institute as a lecturer and later as its deputy director and at Shahamat Health and Rehabilitation Organization as a program manager.
Mr. MD Shajalal Mohon works at MEHRO as Reporting Officer. He holds two master’s degrees in public health and disaster management and has extensive experiences in grant-writing and developing budget and budget narrative.
Ms. Nikola Boratkova is Program Manager and holds a master’s degree in human rights and humanitarian action. She is responsible for proposal writings, supports the organization in report writing, project implementation and maintains donor relations by representing MEHRO to the international donors. Furthermore, she advises the general director on county wise operations.
Mr. Abdul Baqi is MEHRO’s Technical Advisor. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in English language and literature from Kabul University. Mr. Baqi has many experiences in business management and he has also delivered numerous workshops in the field of management.
Mr. Ajmal Tabesh has held the position of Logistics Officer at MEHRO for 7 years. He purchases project related goods and services and transports them to the offices. He is also in charge of setting new field offices in consultation with senior management members.
Mr. Mohammad Jawad Afghan is MEHRO’s Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Officer. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Islamic education and has extensive experiences with working with international organizations as an M&E Officer. Furthermore, he designed and delivered several M&E trainings in the framework of his missions.
Mr. Jamal Nasir works in the administration and human resources of MEHRO. He received a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology and he attended several trainings in Project Management, Finance & Banking, Governance, HR, Procurement and Contract Management, and Anti-Corruption in and outside Afghanistan. He has work experiences with UN, USAID, World Bank, and other government and non-government, national and international organizations.
Mr. Abdul Rahman holds the position of Financial Officer with multiple experiences in his field in different types of organizations.
Mrs. Ruqaia Tabasum is Program Advisor of MEHRO. She holds a master’s degree in Human Rights and is currently enrolled for a PhD. She has experiences in fund-raising, research and project management.
Ms. Zakia is MEHRO’s IT manager. She obtained a degree in Information Technology at Kabul University and has several years of experience in her field.
Non-management staff: MEHRO has two professional drivers, two office guards, one cleaner and one cook in its main office.
